MADISON, Wis. – Coming off a bounce-back win versus an undefeated Kentucky team, the Wisconsin women's soccer team (2-1) is headed west. On Thursday, Aug. 30, the Badgers will compete against Washington. The game is set for 10 p.m. CT.

1. REWIND:  Suffering a 3-0 loss to No. 6 Florida State in its home opener, Wisconsin was in need of a boost. That boost came on the road versus a then undefeated Kentucky team. The Badgers put up three goals, gliding to a 3-1 victory. Wisconsin outshot the Wildcats 18-5 and held possession for over 45 minutes.

2. COUNT ON CAMMIE:  Sophomore forward Cammie Murtha shined in Sunday's match in Lexington. The Maryland native scored one of Wisconsin's three goals and assisted on the other two for a total of four points. Murtha now leads the team in assists and is tied for first in points.

3. SCOUTING WASHINGTON:The Huskies currently sit at 2-1 and are coming off back-to-back wins against California State Fullerton and Portland. Washington has scored a total of five goals this season and allowed just two, shutting out their opponent in both victories. Washington's loss came in its season opener against No. 7 Florida on the road.

4. SERIES STACKUP: The Badgers hold a 3-0-1 all-time advantage over the Huskies, with the last meeting coming in 2014. Wisconsin won that matchup 4-0 in Seattle. Senior Alexis Tye is the only current athlete to have been a part of 2014's victory.

5. FUN FIRSTS: Senior midfielder, and Mac Hermann Watch member, Victoria Pickett scored her first goal of the season against Kentucky on Sunday. Pickett has scored a total of five goals in her career, Sunday's goal was the earliest into a season she has ever scored, coming in the third game of the year. Her previous seasons Pickett's first goal came in the fourth game.
