MADISON, Wis. – Returning from a three-game road trip in which the Wisconsin women's soccer team (4-1) swept all three of its opponents, the Badgers can now be seen at McClimon Soccer Complex for the next four games. The first match will take place Thursday, Sept. 6 against Illinois State (2-2-2).

1. A LOOK BACK: The Badgers took on Kentucky, Washington and Portland University this past week, coming out undefeated. Wisconsin knocked off the Wildcats 3-1 with sophomore Cameron Murtha, senior Victoria Pickett and sophomore Lauren Rice scoring goals. In Seattle, the Badgers took Washington to an overtime thriller, ultimately defeating the Huskies 2-1 courtesy of a game-winning goal by senior Emily Borgmann. Also in Seattle, Wisconsin handled Portland, 2-1, with goals coming from Murtha and sophomore Maia Cella.

2. SCOUTING ILLINOIS STATE: Sitting at 2-2-2 in the 2018 season, the Redbirds have beaten Eastern Michigan and University of Illinois-Chicago, scoring five times against UIC. The Birds' two losses came against Oklahoma, a game in which they allowed seven goals, and Miami of Ohio, losing 1-0. Illinois State has been shut out just once this season.

3. HEAD-TO-HEAD: The Badgers and Redbirds have met six times in program history. The most recent meeting came in 2016; Wisconsin won the match 1-0 on the road. The Badgers also hold the all-time series record 4-2.

4. CAMMIE'S CRUSHING IT: Sophomore forward Cameron Murtha has pieced together a solid 2018 season up to this point. The Maryland native leads the team in points, is second in shots, second in goals and first in assists. During the team's two games in Seattle, Murtha logged one assist and one goal.

5. A WEEKEND OF FIRSTS: Multiple Badgers scored or assisted on their first goals of the season against Washington or Portland. Junior Dani Rhodes had her first assist of the season against Portland, as did sophomore Camryn Biegalski and junior Grace Douglas. Sophomore Maia Cella scored her first goal of the season against Portland and senior Steph Fabry had her first assist of the season against Washington.
