Box Score MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's tennis team ended its homestand at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on a high note on Friday night after sweeping Wright State, 7-0.
The Badgers (8-6, 0-0 Big Ten) came out strong against Wright State (2-7, 0-0 Horizon League), dominating doubles play right off the bat. The duo of
Martim Vilela and
Robert Krill swept their opponents, 6-0. Shortly after, the freshman pair of
Robin Parts and
Gabriel Huber clinched the doubles point, besting their opponents, 6-2.
The Badgers brought their energy into singles play, locking in two-set wins on all six courts.
Robin Parts and
Lenard Soha earned the first two singles points.
Jared Pratt recorded the third singles win, clinching the match for the Badgers.
Chase Colton,
Robert Krill, and
Gabriel Huber each dominated their singles matches following the clinch.
UP NEXT: Wisconsin will head across the border to Minnesota to play the Golden Gophers on Sunday at noon.
