Huven and Stubler break school records

Badgers end the weekend on a historic note
CHICAGO – Two school records fell on the second day of the Windy City Invitational on Saturday for the Wisconsin women's track and field team.
Junior Destiny Huven broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles, placing third in 8.23. Her time ties for first in the Big Ten this season.
Wisconsin claimed their third through eighth-place finishes. Lucinda Crouch finished third in a personal best time of 9:18.79 while Alexa Westley finished fourth in a personal best time of 9:20.03. Samantha Stieve was less than a second behind Westley in 9:20.53 for a personal best time and fifth place. Danielle Orie (9:21.30), Shea Ruhly (9:21.89) and Sarah Shulze (9:26.07) placed sixth through eighth, respectively, in personal best marks.
In the Gold Coast Mile, junior Victoria Heiligenthal finished third in 4:40.28, besting her previous time by over seven seconds. Her time also ranks as the ninth fastest time in Wisconsin history and ranks fourth in the Big Ten this season.
In the open mile, redshirt freshman Emma Watcke finished third in a personal best time of 4:48.09, beating her previous personal best by over two seconds.
Badgers claimed two of the top spots in the invitational 800 meters. Senior Daneille Bellino finished third in 2:07.74 while senior Cailyn Biegalski took eighth in 2:14.63.
Redshirt senior Josie Schaefer won the shot put at 55-feet, 7 inches while redshirt freshman Danni Langseth made an impressive debut, finishing fifth at 48-9.
Hailey Orlowski placed sixth in the invitational pole vault with a season's best clearance of 13-1 ¾ while Diamond Black finished third in the triple jump with a UW best of 40-0.

School records fall
Redshirt senior Bianca Stubler broke one of the oldest records in program history when she ran 53.81seconds in the 400 meters. Stubler bested the time of 53.88 set by Pam Moore in 1981. Dominating Distance
Badgers claimed seven of the top-eight spots in the invitational 3,000 meters.
