AWENDAW, S.C.— The Badgers finished Hootie at Bulls Bay in eighth place with an eight-under-par 856. The 54-hole total breaks into the top-15 54-hole scores in program history and marks the third time the team has finished under par this season.
Griffin Barela and
Cameron Huss shared the lead for Wisconsin, each finishing T21 with a two-under-par 214.
Sunday, March 27
Wisconsin shot a three-under-par 285 in the first round of Hootie at Bulls Bay to finish the day tied with Purdue for eighth.
Four Badgers finished under-par or better and were led by
Cameron Huss who carded a two-under-par 70.
Barela also finished under par with a 71 (-1) while
Robbie Morway and
Coalter Smith each shot an even-par 72.
Monday, March 28
The Badgers improved seven strokes from the first round, recording an 11-under-par 277 in the second round. This score is just one stroke off from the lowest 18-hole team score in program history.
Four Badgers finished the day under-par again. Barela led, shooting a six-under-par 66 to mark a new 18-hole career-low for the fifth-year senior.
Daniel Aas and Huss each shot a 70 (-2), while Morway carded a one-under-par 71.
Tuesday, March 29
Wisconsin carded a six-over-par 294 in the final round of Hootie at Bulls Bay.
Aas had the lowest round for the team, turning in an even-par 72.
The Badgers have just one more tournament before heading to the Big Ten Championship. The team will travel to Indiana to compete in the Purdue Spring Invitational on April 9-10.
