MADISON, Wis. — No. 7 Wisconsin (12-2, 6-2 Big Ten) travels to the 2022 Big Ten Championships this Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6, at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.

There will be four sessions of the Big Ten Championships:
- Saturday, 10 a.m. CT - Session I - First Round, Quarterfinals, Wrestlebacks - READ RECAP
- Saturday, 5:30 p.m. CT - Session II - Consolation Matches, Wrestlebacks; Saturday, 7:30 p.m. CT - Session II - Semifinals - READ RECAP
- Sunday, 11 a.m. CT - Session III - Consolation Semifinals, 7th-Place Matches
- Sunday, 3:30 p.m. CT - Session IV - 1st-, 3rd- and 5th- Place Matches
Big Ten Network and B1G+ will provide live and streaming coverage of all four sessions, with BTN coverage also available on the FOX Sports App, while BTN+ matches can be streamed at bigtenplus.com. Full details are available on BTN.com.

Here are five more things to know before the Badgers step on the mats:
1. BIG TEN SEEDS: Seven of 10 Badgers earned top-10 seeds, led by Austin Gomez (2nd, 149 pounds). Teammates Eric Barnett (125) and Dean Hamiti (165) both earned No. 3 seeds in their weight classes. Trent Hillger (285) and Garrett Model (157) are seeded at No. 7 in their brackets, while Joe Zargo is No. 8 seed at 141 pounds and Braxton Amos is No. 8 at 197 pounds. Three Badgers — Kyle Burwick (133), Andrew McNally (174) and Chris Weiler (184) — are all seeded at No. 11 in their weight classes. Read the Big Ten seeding announcement.
2. NCAA ALLOCATIONS: The NCAA released allocations for the NCAA Championships and the Big Ten has 7-12 allocations per weight class. Projecting out from Big Ten seeding, Wisconsin can possibly send seven Badgers based on allocations if projections run true, but are aiming for all 10 wrestlers to qualify automatically or via wild-card qualifications.

4. BADGERS BREAKDOWN BY WEIGHT
- Returning NCAA All-American Eric Barnett is 13-2 overall at 125 pounds, ranked 6th overall by Intermat and 5th by the NCAA Coaches. He's seeded 3rd for the Big Ten Championships. Barnett's top win this season was an 8-5 upset decision of Minnesota's No. 8 Patrick McKee to help the Badgers defeat the Golden Gophers on the road.

- Kyle Burwick is 11-12 overall at 133 pounds and is ranked 30th by the NCAA Coaches. Burwick is seeded 11th in his weight class for Big Tens. One of Burwick's top wins is a sudden-victory upset decision of Minnesota's Jake Gliva, 6-4.

- True freshman Joseph Zargo battled his way through the Big Ten dual season to be 14-8 overall record at 141 pounds. Zargo's ranked 22nd by Intermat and 19th by NCAA Coaches. He's seeded 8th heading into his first-ever Big Ten Championships. Coming on strong to end the season, then-unranked Zargo earned a 8-6 sudden-victory upset of Illinois' fourth-ranked Dylan Duncan for one of his top wins of the season.

- The comeback story of the year, Austin Gomez is 15-2 overall at 149 pounds. He's ranked No. 5 by both Intermat and NCAA Coaches. Gomez is seeded No. 2 for his first-ever Big Ten Championships. Gomez earned two impressive upsets in Big Ten duals - 8-6 decision upset over Northwestern's No. 4 Yahya Thomas and a 4-2 upset over Nebraska's No. 4 Ridge Lovett.

- Garrett Model is 13-10 overall at 157 pounds. He's ranked 31st by Intermat and 27th by NCAA Coaches. Model is seeded No. 8 for the Big Ten Championships. Ranked 33rd, Model upset No. 4 Brayton Lee (Minnesota) in a 10-5 decision and earned both Big Ten and USA Wrestling weekly honors for the victory.

- Gaining notice across the country, true freshman Dean Hamiti is 20-1 overall at 165 pounds and is ranked No. 7 by the NCAA among Most Dominant Wrestlers. Hamiti is ranked sixth by Intermat and NCAA coaches. He's seeded No. 3 in his first-ever Big Ten Championships. Hamiti earned bonus-point victories in all but two of his wins so far this season, including seven pins.

- A transfer and 2021 MAC Champion, Andrew McNally is 8-8 overall at 174 pounds and ranked 30th by both Intermat and NCAA Coaches. He's seeded 11th in his first-ever Big Ten Championships. McNally capped his final career dual meet with a 7-2 decision over Cornell's Andrew Berreyesa.

- Chris Weiler is 9-11 overall at 184 pounds. Weiler's ranked 27th by Intermat and 30th by NCAA Coaches. He's seeded 11th in his second Big Ten Championships. Weiler earned three Big Ten upsets this season including major decisions against Purdue's No. 28 Max Lyon (11-3) and Maryland's No. 11 Kyle Cochran (12-4).

- True freshman Braxton Amos is 16-7 overall at 197 pounds and is ranked No. 5 by the NCAA for Most Tech Falls in the nation. Amos is ranked 21st by Intermat and 20th by NCAA Coaches. He's seeded No. 8 for his first-ever Big Ten Championships. He's earned six tech falls so far this season.

- Three-time All-American Trent Hillger is 16-4 overall at heavyweight (285). He's ranked 12th by Intermat and 11th by NCAA Coaches. Hillger is seeded No. 7 for his fourth Big Tens, in a very tough bracket. Hillger ended dual season with three-consecutive wins, including two major decisions of No. 16 Luke Luffman (Illinois) and No. 16 Lewis Fernandes (Cornell).
5. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin earned two highly-ranked victories to close the dual season with a 24-10 win against No. 17 Northern Iowa on the road and a 19-16 win against No. 11 Cornell at the UW Field House.
