MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team (6-2-3) travels to Minneapolis, Minn., to face the Golden Gophers in a conference and rivalry match on Thursday, Sept. 28. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT).

Here are five things to know:
 

1. KNOW THE OPPONENT: The Badgers are 21-13-1 all-time against Minnesota, which includes a dominant 11-3 record in Minneapolis. Wisconsin is also on an 11-game undefeated streak against the Gophers, with the team's last loss coming back on Oct. 18, 2014.

Minnesota has an overall record of 4-3-3 on the season, which includes an 0-2-1 conference record. The Gophers are coming off a 0-0 tie against Iowa on Sunday, Sept. 24.
 

2. PLAYERS TO WATCH: Freshman outside-back Ella Ottey has been a mainstay in the Wisconsin back line this season. Despite it only being her first year with the team, the Canadian brings her aggressive presence and impressive ball skills to the squad.

Midfielder Sophia Bowman has five goals and two assists while starting all ten matches for Minnesota this season. She is averaging 0.50 goals per game. 
 

3. RECAPPING THE WEEK: Wisconsin squared off against Michigan State on Sunday, Sept. 24, in a hard-fought match. The Badgers put pressure on the reigning Big Ten Champions at the McClimon Soccer Complex, but ended up losing 1-0.
