MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team (7-2-3) welcomes Purdue to the McClimon Soccer Complex on Sunday, October 1. It is the Senior Day game for the Badgers, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. (CT).
Here are five things to know:
1. KNOW THE OPPONENT: The Badgers have a 13-10-3 all-time record against Purdue, which includes a 5-6-1 record in Madison. Last time out, Wisconsin beat the Boilermakers 5-2 in a dominant showing in West Lafeyette on September 22, 2022.
Purdue are 3-8-1 on the season and are winless in the Big Ten with a record of 0-3-1. The Boilermakers are coming off a 4-0 loss against Iowa on Thursday, September 28.
2. SENIOR DAY: Join us on Sunday as we honor our eight seniors and everything they have given to the women's soccer program. The players that will be recognized are

With the game slated to start at 1 p.m. (CT), senior celebrations will take place prior to kick off. You will not want to miss out on this special day!
3. RECAPPING THE WEEK: Wisconsin pulled off an impressive 3-1 win against Minnesota on Thursday, September 28. The border battle saw the Gophers reduced to 10 players early on, putting Wisconsin at a substantial disadvantage. The Badgers put three goals in the back of the net and came away with the big rivalry win. The Badgers now sit fourth in the Big Ten standings with a conference record of 2-1-1.
