Ho leads Badgers at Briar's Creek Invitational

UW places 16th after three rounds
JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – After three rounds of play at the Briar's Creek Invitational, the Wisconsin women's golf team placed in 16th after finishing 37-over par.Â
Junior Vanessa Ho led the way for the Badgers at nine-over par, placing her tied for 45th. Wisconsin finished with a 901 (299-304-298), with their best round coming in the final 18 holes.Â
Fellow Big Ten school, Michigan State, garnered top honors among the 17-team field after finished at four-under par.Â
Camille Kuznik tallied her best round of the tournament, shooting a one-over 73 to finish at 17-over par and tied for 86th. Kate Brody shot a two-over 74 to tie for 58th at 12-over par, while Ho shot a three-over 75 to finish at nine-over par and tied for 45th.Â
Chloe Chan carded a four-over 76 to finish at 12-over par and tied for 58th with teammate Brody. Competing as an individual, Gia Feliciano shot a seven-over 79 to finish at 16-over and in 85th place. Rounding out the lineup was Carly Carter, who shot an 11-over 83 in the final round to finish 14-over par and tied for 74th.Â
Carter and Kate Brody each shot a three-over 75, with Carter tallying three birdies to bring her total birdie count to seven.
Chloe Chan and Vanessa Ho each carded a  five-over 77, while Camille Kuznike rounded out the lineup with a six-over 78. Competing as an individual, Gia Feliciano finished out the day with a six-over 78.Â
Carted made par to lead the Badgers after the first 18 holes, including an eagle on hole 7 and four birdies.
Ho trailed closely with a one-over 73, while Chan shot a three-over 75. Brody carded a seven-over 79 with four birdies, and Kuznik rounded out the lineup with a 10-over 82. Individual Feliciano ended the first round with a three-over 75.

Round 2
The Badgers shot a 304 (+16) in the second round of the Briar's Creek Invitational, placing them in 16th at the end of the first day.ÂCarter and Kate Brody each shot a three-over 75, with Carter tallying three birdies to bring her total birdie count to seven.
