2020-21: NCAA qualifier ... 2021 All-American after placing fifth at the 2021 NCAA Championships at 125 pounds ... earned both NWCA Scholar All-American and First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... 13-3 overall record (4-0 in duals) at 125 pounds ... qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third time in his career and earned All-American honors for the first time ... entered nationals as the No. 7 seed to match for the second-highest national seed in program history that he also holds from his freshman season (2018) ... won his first three matches at the NCAA Championships to become just the second semifinalist in program history (Demetrius Romero also reached the semifinals later on the day to become UVU's third semifinalist) ... picked up his three straight wins at nationals over No. 26 Jackson DiSario of Stanford (18-1), No. 23 Robert Howard of Penn State (2-1) and No. 2 Sam Latona of Virginia Tech (7-4) ... dropped a hard fought overtime battle to No. 3 Brandon Courtney of Arizona State in the semis (2-1, TB-1) and then fell to No. 15 Patrick McKee of Minnesota (8-3) in the consolation semis to wrestle for fifth place ... in a rematch against No. 2 Latona of Virginia Tech, LaMont again defeated Latona, 4-1, to earn his fifth-place finish to become UVU's fourth All-American in program history ... went 4-2 at the NCAA Championships ... reached the finals at the Big 12 Championships for the first time in his career and earned a runner-up finish after going 3-1 at the event ... won his three bouts over Jace Koelzer of Northern Colorado, Kysen Terukina of Iowa State and No. 18 Trevor Mastrogiovanni of OK State to advance to the Big 12 finals ... dropped his first bout of the season to No. 6 Brody Teske of Northern Iowa in the Big 12 championship match by a mere score of 9-7 ... posted a 6-1 record against Big 12 Conference foes ... went 8-2 on the year against nationally ranked foes ... nationally ranked all season long and ranked as high as No. 4 during the season by InterMat and No. 7 in the final NCAA Coaches Panel Ranking ... won his first nine matches of the season ... won eight bouts by decision, two by tech fall, two by major decision and one by fall ... won a U23 Greco-Roman National title in May and placed second at U23 Freestyle Nationals ... earned spot to compete at the 2021 U23 World Championships in Serbia in November.

2019-20: NCAA qualifier ... 17-7 overall record (10-2 in duals) at 133 pounds ... earned NWCA Scholar All-American and First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... earned his second trip to the NCAA Championships (before they were abruptly canceled due to COVID-19) after wrestling his way back to earn a true-eighth place finish at the Big 12 Championships ... entered the 2020 Big 12 Championships as the No. 1 seed and was set to enter the 2020 NCAA Championships as the No. 17 seed ... battled back after dropping his first two matches at the Big 12 Championships to win his final three -- including an overtime win over No. 16 Todd Small of Iowa State -- to earn the final automatic bid to Nationals in his weight class and post a 3-2 outing ... was nationally ranked for the majority of the season and finished the year ranked 17th in his weight class in the final NCAA Coaches Panel ranking and 19th on the final RPI ... picked up five wins on the season over nationally ranked opponents with wins over No, 6 Montorie Bridges of Wyoming, No. 7 Cam Sykora of NDSU, No. 16 Todd Small of Iowa State, No. 18 Mosha Schwartz of Northern Colo. and No. 20 Devan Turner of Oregon State ... placed third at the Reno Tournament of Champions with a 4-1 outing at the event ... led the team in dual points with 40, finished tied for first in dual wins with 10, tied for first in falls with three, and finished second on the squad in wins with 17 ... won three bouts by fall, three by tech fall, three by major decision and seven by decision ... competed at the U23 World Championships for Team USA in Greco-Roman in Budapest, Hungary in the fall.

2018-19: Received a medical redshirt after missing the 2018-19 season with an injury.

2017-18: NCAA qualifier ... 27-5 overall record (9-0 in duals) at 125 pounds ... earned both NWCA All-Academic Team and First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... reached the "blood round" and finished just one win shy of placement at his first trip to the NCAA Championships with a 2-2 record ... entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 7 seed, which marks the highest in program history ... reached the quarterfinal round of the NCAAs after recording two straight wins with victories over Northern Illinois' Brock Hudkins (Dec., 3-2) and No. 10 Sebastian Rivera of Northwestern (Dec., 6-5) ... earned an automatic bid to nationals by placing third at the 2018 Big 12 Championships with a 3-1 record at the tournament ... became UVU's first wrestler in program history to win the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational after reeling off an impressive 6-0 run at the prestigious two-day tournament ... picked up wins over four nationally-ranked foes and three returning All-Americans at the CKLV Invite in No. 3 Ethan Lizak of Minnesota (Dec., 4-3), No. 8 Sean Russell of Edinboro (Dec., 4-3), No. 11 Connor Schram of Stanford (Dec., 4-1) and No. 18 Drew Mattin of Michigan (Dec., 8-5) ... earned NCAA, USA Wrestling, FloWrestling, and Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors after his triumphant performance at the CKLV Invite ... also placed second at the Wolfpack Open with a 3-1 outing and third at the Clarion Open with a 4-1 performance ... became UVU's first grappler in program history to hold down the No. 1 national ranking on any poll by being rated the No. 1 wrestler at 125 pounds on the RPI for over a month of the season ... finished the year ranked third on the final RPI and eighth on the Coaches Panel Ranking ... ranked as high as sixth nationally during the season on more than one of the major national polls ... picked up a total of 11 wins over nationally ranked foes on the year ... arguably had the best season in program history for a freshman ... led the team in dual points (39), finished second in total wins (27), dual wins (9-0) and wins against fellow Big 12 foes (9-1) ... recorded 11 wins by decision, nine by major decision and five by fall.

2016-17: Redshirted the 2016-17 season for the Wolverines ... compiled a 20-5 record while competing unattached at 125 pounds ... won titles at both the Cowboy Open and the UVU Open by going 4-0 and 5-0, respectively ... named the Most Outstanding Wrestling at the Cowboy Open after winning a title in his first collegiate event ... placed fourth at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open with a 6-2 record and also posted a 2-2 outing at the Southern Scuffle ... won six bouts by major decision, five by fall, five by decision and three by tech fall.

High School: Prepped at Maple Mountain High School in Spanish Fork ... a four-time Utah High School State Champion and tabbed a four-time Most Outstanding Wrestler ... won a pair of Reno Tournament of Champions titles ... went undefeated throughout both his junior and senior seasons in high school ... finished his high school career with a 244-9 overall record ... helped lead his team to a state championship his freshman season as well as three runner-up finishes ... a four-time Fargo champion (two in Greco-Roman and two in freestyle) ... also a four-time Greco-Roman World Team member and recently earned bronze medal finish at the 2016 Greco-Roman Junior Worlds.
