NORMAL, Ill. -- The UW men's golf team remained in ninth place with a 55-over par 907 in the finals of the 54-hole Weibring Intercollegiate at the Illinois State Golf Course in Normal, Ill.

Illinois maintained its lead with a 2-over par 285-285-282---852 in the 15-team invitational. The Illini placed three players among the top eight including medalist Luke Guthrie who shot a 10-under par 67-68-68--203.

The Badgers had their best team 18-hole round on the final day with 297. Wisconsin was led by Anthony Aicher, who has led UW for the third-straight tournament, tying for 11th with an 8-over par 76-73-72--221.
