KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.- In its final event of the fall, the Wisconsin men’s golf finished ninth out of 21 teams with a 59-over par 318-296-309—923 at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Turtle Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C.
Tying for the top team spot was Kennesaw State and Campbell with a 54-hole score of 881.Finishing tied for first place were Campbell’s Vaita Guillaume and George Washington’s Andres Pumariega both with a 2-under par 214.
Thomas O'Bryan led the Badgers from day one finishing tied for 21st with a 10-over-par 75-73-78—226. O’Bryan recorded his career best 54-hole and 36-hole scores. This also marks his career best finish in a tournament.
Anthony Aicher bounced back from a rough first round, finishing tied for 45th with a 83-74-76—233. Chris Meyer finished tied for 47th with a 234, Thomas Welk finished tied for 65th with a 238 and Brady Keegan finished tied for 79th with a 247.
Finishing in ninth place in the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate marks the third top 10 finish for the Badgers this fall.
The next tournament for Wisconsin men’s golf is the Big Ten Match Play in February.
