MADISON, Wis. – Finishing up a three-game road trip, the Wisconsin men's soccer team will take a short trip down Interstate 94 to face off against UW-Milwaukee on Wednesday.
The Badgers lead the all-time series, 17-14-7, as they have won six of the last seven games by shutting out the Panthers all six times.
The Badgers (3-9-2, 1-2-2 Big Ten) look to secure their fourth win of the season and fourth win on the road.
After splitting a pair of games last week with a 2-1 double overtime win at Saint Louis and a 0-2 loss at Ohio State, the Badgers continue with an aggressive push as they near the end of the regular season.
With only four games left on the regular season schedule, the Badgers take a break from Big Ten play for the midweek game in Milwaukee. The Panthers (3-8-2, 1-4-1 Horizon League) have been on a three-game losing streak, and they look to break the streak this Wednesday when they host UW. Milwaukee has only recorded one win at home this season.
The pair of Declan Rodriguez and Francesco Saporito lead the Panthers in points with eight apiece. Rodriquez has notched three goals and two assists, while Saporito has tallied two goals and four assists. Each player has attempted 28 shots this season.
The Badgers are 3-3-1 on the road, as they look to add another win to their traveling record. Three sophomores sit atop the leaderboard for UW, as
Christopher Mueller leads the team in points (11), while
Tom Barlow and
Mark Segbers sit in a close second with eight each.
Wednesday's game at Engelmann Stadium is set to begin at 8 p.m. CT. The Badgers then head home on Saturday for Senior Night, as they host Penn State and honor this year's senior class of
Drew Conner,
Anders Kristensen,
Adam Lauko and
Carl Schneider.
