MADISON, Wis. – The No. 8 Wisconsin women's hockey team is headed back on the road to face St. Thomas for the second time this season. Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is set for 6 p.m. at St. Thomas Ice Rink in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers snapped their losing streak with a sweep of Minnesota State at home this weekend, stampeding past the Mavericks 2-1 and 6-0. Forwards Britta Curl and Lacey Eden each tallied two goals in the series, placing them tied for the team lead in goals. Senior goalie Cami Kronish picked up two wins in the sweep after only allowing one goal on 50 shots, and picking up her sixth shutout of the year.
2. FILL THE BOWL: The seventh-ever Fill the Bowl game is coming up fast as the Badgers' will take on St. Cloud State in the Kohl Center on Friday, Feb. 3 in a 7 p.m. contest. UW is teaming up with Madison Ice Inc. for the event and is asking fans to donate gently used or new hockey equipment to help support MII's Learn-to-Skate programs, Sled Hockey Program, Special Hockey Program and Adaptive & Underprivileged Learn-to-Skate programs. Fans are encouraged to donate helmets, winter mittens/gloves, hockey gloves, skates (figure and hockey), hockey sticks, and hockey pads.
3. CAMI CATCHES SECOND WCHA AWARD: Cami Kronish has been named WCHA Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season after a stellar showing in the sweep against Minnesota State. The New York, New York native stopped 49 of the 50 shots she faced for a league-high .980 save percentage, while also tallying her first career assist. She currently leads all WCHA goalies with a 1.27 goals against average and a .936 save percentage. She also ranks fourth in the country with six shutouts and now has a 12-6-1 record on the year for UW.
4. CLOSING IN ON THE CENTURY CLUB: A pair of Badgers are closing in on 100 career points for the Cardinal and White. After two assists in UW's 6-0 win on Sunday, Nicole LaMantia has 99 career points and is one point away from becoming the fourth Badger defender to reach 100 career points. Casey O'Brien is also closing in on 100 career points as the junior has 96 points. The duo look to join Britta Curl and Sophie Shirley in the UW 100-point club.
5. LAST TIME AGAINST ST. THOMAS: The Badgers and Tommies met earlier in the season at LaBahn Arena, resulting in a 5-0 win on Oct. 7 and a 9-1 takedown on Oct. 8. Eleven different Badgers scored in the sweep against the Tommies, including
Nicole LaMantia,
Sarah Wozniewicz and
Grace Shirley, who both scored twice in the series. Goalies
Cami Kronish and
Jane Gervais each picked up a win in the sweep.
