PRINCETON, N.J. - The Wisconsin men's rowing program traveled for the Princeton Chase on Sunday to wrap up the fall rowing competition season.
In the morning session, boats Wisconsin A and B competed in the men's heavyweight eight race. Wisconsin A came in an impressive fifth place with a time of 13:11.691 and Wisconsin B was not far behind with a time of 13:38.232, good enough for 16th place in a 35-boat field.
The afternoon session was a shining moment for Wisconsin's young guys. A makeshift Wisconsin A boat came in first place in round two of the men's eight races and Wisconsin B came in sixth.
The varsity four competed in a stacked 27-boat field. Led by veteran coxswain Jonah Rane, the boat came in sixth place with a time of 14:33.229, thirty-six seconds behind first-place boat Princeton A.
Up next: The Badgers are set to take the winter off from races and prepare for regattas in the spring.
