FAIRLEE, Vt. --Â The No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers traveled to take part in day one of the Lake Morey Invite.
Wisconsin took on Boston University, Georgetown and Dartmouth on Saturday.Â
The varsity eight boat highlighted the day with two second- place finishes. In the morning race, it finished with a time of 5:53.3, just under four seconds behind No. 13 Boston University. No. 19 Georgetown finished nearly six seconds behind the Badgers.
With the victory, BU captured the Jablonic Cup, which goes annually to the victor between the Badgers and Terriers.
In the afternoon, No. 10 Dartmouth clocked 6:11.8 to claim a 2.5 second win over Wisconsin. Georgetown again placed third, 9.5 seconds behind UW.
The third varsity eight boat also had an impressive day, taking second in both of their races.
The Badgers will continue action Sunday morning where they will take on Boston University and Dartmouth for a second time.Â
