Biography
2016-17 (Senior): Raced with the third varsity eight at the Stanford Invite, earning a win and a pair of second place finishes … placed second with the third varsity eight for the Jablonic Cup in April … rowed the fourth varsity eight to a win in the petite final at the Eastern Sprints … raced to 17th at the Princeton Chase with a four while placing 20th with an eight … made the lightweight men's four for the 2017 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where he helped the United States win a silver medal
2015-16 (Junior): Rowed in the lightweight varsity four that placed sixth at the IRA National Championships... competed with the second varsity eight that placed first against Minnesota and MSOE in April, while also taking first against the teams with the lightweight varsity four... sat in the three seat with the varsity four at the Devil's Lake Dual... raced with the third varsity eight at the Princeton Chase during the fall season ... finished sixth in the lightweight men's pair at the 2016 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
2014-15 (Sophomore): Raced for the fourth varsity eight that defeated MSOE at the Devil’s Lake Challenge…competed for the lightweight varsity four that defeated MSOE at the Devil’s Lake Challenge and finished sixth at the Princeton Chase.
2013-14 (Freshman): Sat six seat in the freshmen eight that placed second to another Wisconsin boat in a competition with Minnesota and Milwaukee School of Engineering...also rowed with the lightweight varsity four that took fourth and the second freshmen four that earned second in the Minnesota and MSOE race.
High School: Competed in rowing and football for two years...made the most tackles of the team at linebacker during his sophomore year...in rowing, took sixth place at USRowing Youth Nationals in the Men's eight (2012), second place at USRowing Club Nationals in the Men's eight and Men's four (2012), second place at USRowing Club Nationals in the Men's pair (2013), fifth place at Canadian Henley in the Men's eight (2012), and fifth place at USRowing Club Nationals in the Men's eight (2013)...wrestled for one year.
Personal: Parents are Guy and Elizabeth...major is undecided...great grandfather rowed for the Egyptian National Team and won an International gold medal in the single.
